Tooth

On Thursday, Norah cut her 3rd tooth!! She cut the top left eye tooth... she has about 3 more that are ready to pop, as well!

She had a rough day with naps on Wednesday and has continued sleeping, terribly.... thankfully it seems there is an "explantation" for these times!!

I took these pictures on Sunday before we went to church... 

I was playing around a bit with the lighting and some of the settings on my camera. 

She is such a mover that it was a bit tricky!

But she's such a sweetie! 

Two Teeth

You see that DROOL!!! It was all for a good reason!!

Back on Thursday, October 18th Norah cut her first two teeth!!!

I can't believe at 5 months old this little cutie cut teeth!

Trip to the Dentist

On August 28th, Mckenna headed to the dentist for the first time! 

So many firsts waiting here on the horizon!

Our dentist is great! They are a pediatric practice and have soooo many things to help kiddos be at ease!

Mckenna got to pick out sunglasses to wear, so that the lights didn't hurt her eyes.

There was a TV above her chair so she could watch Mickey and Doc McStuffins.

They had like 30 different flavors of gloves, toothpaste and flouride... it was crazy!!!

Norah loved the bright lights too!

STICKERS!!! She was sold at this point!

She walked away with 2 new toothbrushes, tons of stickers, toys, coloring sheets, and a no cavity certificate. She is ready to go back again!

They sure new the way to her heart.... a spinning Cinderella tooth brush!

Yes, she HAD to brush her teeth in the car on the way to Target after the dentist!!

16 months

Mckenna Anne you are 16 months old today!!

Wow! Another month under our belts! You are so excited for Christmas... well, excited to just rip wrapping paper off of boxes!! I know you will love the things you find inside, though, too!

Here is what you are up to these days!

• You weigh just about 23lbs. and are around 33inches tall
• You are wearing almost all 18 month clothes, however if they are hand-me-down shirts, they are a little too short!
• You are wearing a size 4 diaper and size 4 shoe.
• You just cut your 12th tooth! You have the front four on top and bottom, as well as 4 molars!
  
• You LOVE, LOVE your babies and carry 2 of them around all of the time.
  
• You also LOVE books and love having them read to you. Right now one of your favorites is Brown Bear. You can point out all of the animals at the end of the book if we ask you which one is which.
• You are still loving on your Mickey, too!
• You are so funny and laugh and smile all the time!! We love all the silly things you do!
  

AHHH

This morning when I went to brush Mckenna's teeth, she opened her mouth wide and said, AHHH! It made me start laughing so hard! It has been a challenge to brush her teeth, but over the last week she is finally letting me do it. She has been a champ lately with letting me do them at night; this morning she actually went in and pointed to the toothbrush for me to do them!!

Here is the little fashionista this morning! Loving on her Mickey Mouse! Or "Mi, Mi" as she likes to say!

#7 & Milk

Mckenna's 7th tooth popped on through yesterday! It is the bottom right tooth! She now has 4 on top and 3 on the bottom!

She also finally started drinking her milk out of a sippy/straw cup! She has been such a picky little thing about drinking milk out of the cup, but she finally drank milk all day long! She drank so much (which was only 15oz or so) that she wasn't interested in a bottle last night at bed time... so we also no longer are taking ANY bottles :( She has now gone 2 nights without a bed time bottle... my baby is getting so big!

Walking around, no bottles... I guess I now have toddler, not a baby :(

Toothbrush Fun!

For a couple of weeks I have been meaning to pick up a big girl toothbrush for Mckenna. We have been using one of those baby/over the finger toothbrushes since she got her first two teeth. That thing is pretty worthless!

I brought the new toothbrush home on Wednesday and she loves the thing. She has it in her mouth constantly! I think more teeth are on their way with the way she is drooling and chewing!!

On Wednesday morning we noticed that Mckenna's 5th tooth is cutting through. Her top middle tooth on the right has just cut through on the one corner. Her two "fangs" are coming down. They have made it down about half way. She looks really silly with her two little fangs, or hippo teeth as we call them.

2 more teeth!

We had two new teeth FINALLY pop through. Mckenna got her top "eye" teeth... not her front teeth as many children usually do.

As soon as she lets me anywhere near her mouth, I will post pictures! Not going to happen any time soon, I'm guessing!

Crawling, Climbing and Teething - OH MY!

Yes, Mckenna is all over the place! Each night this week she is figuring out the crawling thing a little bit more. Last night she crawled about 2 feet before plopping down onto her tummy. She only wants to crawl when prompted, however. She will crawl for the remote and Milo! That is with me holding Milo down so he doesn't run the second she gets near him!

She is also trying to pull up on people. If I am on the floor with her, she is reaching and pulling herself up into my arms. She is doing the same thing at daycare. She is pulling on Sharon's pants trying to get him! She can get up too!! I don't think she has realized yet that she can pull up on furniture!!

I think we are dealing with more teething side effects this week. They seem to be worse than they were for the first two teeth that came in. She has had a runny nose, low grade fever, a little cranky, and sleeping bad for night sleep. Naps have been great, though! I am heading with her to the doctor today just to rule out another ear infection.... since the symptoms are the same :( I hope it isn't another infection!!
