Christmas Afternoon

Our celebrations of Christmas continued into the late morning and afternoon on Christmas Day! After some driveway shoveling for all the snow that had fallen on Christmas Eve, we were ready for breakfast, gifts, movies and dinner!

Christmas Morning

I was so excited to spend Christmas morning together as a family. Mckenna is so interested in ripping into Christmas presents that Jim and I were excited for her to see the really big boxes under the Christmas tree and rip into them.

Santa came and filled our stockings and left presents under our tree. We also had gifts for Mckenna, as well as each other. We started our morning with opening our stockings. It is so fun to listen to Mckenna say "ooh" when pulling out a little box of goldfish from her stocking! Ah! The little things!!

Christmas Tree after Santa arrived

Stuffed stockings
Eying up the big ol' boxes!
And then changing our mind and deciding to go be silly with the cat!

Time to open the stockings...

The Minnie Mouse bow was in her stocking

Yes, Mommy got eyeliner in her stocking... which means Mckenna thinks she has a new toy!

Ready to begin!
She was so excited... but took FOREVER!

Getting silly with all of the wrapping paper. I asked her to lay down in it and this is what she did! More like a head stand!

So happy!

Helping Daddy open his Santa gift...
New Oakley Sunglasses!

For whatever reason, Mckenna sat on just about every present before she opened it. She did this at all of our celebrations!

Sox got a new little ball in his stocking...

So Mckenna was distracted from opening gifts to play with Sox's ball! She loved that he played fetch with her.

I'm Open Sox!

More wrapping paper fun!

Plotting the next attack!

Bunny slippers!
She actually wore them all morning and into the afternoon! I was pretty shocked!

Tee Ball fun for Daddy and Mckenna!

As Jim expression shows, gift opening took awhile!! Ha!

Helping Mommy

One more gift!

We all had a great morning together! Mckenna was so much fun! I can't even imagine how much more fun next year will be! By the time we were done, she had one gift left, but was begging to get in her highchair. Apparently she was hungry and needed her morning routine of breakfast, milk and Mickey!! Our day continued into the afternoon with more family fun!!
