A little bit of this and that

I FINALLY got my camera back at the end of last week! Yes, that was 11 weeks of being without it! Hence, 11 weeks of weird pictures taken mostly with my phone!

I have been trying to readjust some of the settings, as well as explore some new settings and features that I have been reading about. Along the way, we have captured a few random moments. Here they are from the last week!

I have a little helper! She loves "doing dishes".... if only she didn't soak the kitchen while she "helped"! Its much easier to just take her clothes off because she doesn't like to be wet and wants the clothes off when she's done, anyways!

Last Friday night we were getting ready to head out to dinner, so I took Mckenna outside to run around, thinking I could get a few pictures of her by our front landscaping... or something cute and pretty!

Yep, instead she ended up in the dirt under the deck....

Yes, in khaki's and a white top!

Mckenna is LOVING playing games! Her favorite two right now are Cootie and Candyland.

One day this week she convinced Daddy to play a little Cootie with her...

On Sunday, Mckenna and I headed to church, while Daddy went and ran a 5k. This was the best picture I could get! We were so proud of Daddy for running another personal best, which ended up placing him 19 out of 115!!

During the week I brought out the yoga ball to start bouncing on... Mckenna enjoys it, as well!

Our Day

Apparently today we had lots of things to take pictures of!

Here is our day via my phone camera...

Pretty little braids... she finally let me do 2 braids again... its been awhile

Brushing all by herself

Score Update:
Mckenna - 2
Mom - 0
Yes, she picked out her Cinderella socks to wear with her pink flowered sandals

Tonight at dinner I asked her to make a silly face...

Which lead to a little photo shoot...

Of pouty faces...

She's a good little actress because she was laughing and smiling between each picture and then cracking up when she saw the pictures!!

Part of her new "cleaning" regimen that she enjoys... "washing" dishes

Today was a hot day (85) so we enjoyed the summer evening with a little ice cream date...
My little ballerina apparently wants to also be a figure skater...

Look at this mom!

She also enjoys blizzards (blasts) with Mommy! YUM!

Sharing!

Getting silly!

We had a fun little day together!!!

Chores

Mckenna has created her first "chore" for herself.... she LOVES to feed Sox and Milo!

If she hears me say, "oh you guys need food" or sees me go for the cat food bin in the pantry, so says, "NOO! Me!"

Of course scooping the food and pouring into the bowl isn't the neatest activity for a 2 year old...

There are lots of spills... But she takes great pride in her "job"...

Heading off to bring them their food!

She even cleans up and puts the bin away...

So proud!
On a side note, after dinner we headed upstairs to play. Mckenna loves to have little tea parties and "eat" together at her little table/grill. She will busy herself in the kitchen and then say, "okay, time to eat". She will even set up 3 chairs if Jim is home and we both have to come eat. Well, Mommy isn't really fitting onto the little stools anymore, so I was sitting on the floor whenever we did this.

Tonight, when she called me to eat, this is how she had set it up. Little sweetie told me, "Mommy you sit here. Your back hurts for other chair." What a little darling!!!

Tutu Cute

On Sunday we wore our new little Valentine's outfit and tutu! She looked oh so cute!! And she was such a helper in attempting to lint roll the couch for me!

Mckenna also thought it was fun to run away from every picture I tried to take!

At least I caught a cute one!

Helping Mommy

Mckenna decided that she wanted to be a big help to me tonight as I tried to organize her closet and go through her clothes. I still had the collection bin of 3-6 month clothes in her closet, so it was finally time to pack it up.... although I say that and she was actually wearing a 3-6mo. shirt still today. For the most part, though, everything she is wearing is 6-9 months.

So, as I was packing those up, I was also sorting through some of the 9-12mo. stuff that we have inherited from our friends Kelly & Molly. Apparently Mckenna wanted to wear these clothes this week and not have to wait until the fall...

I just sat and laughed as she pulled out all of the clothes and examined them!

They were all taken with my phone, hence not the greatest quality!
She is just too funny!
