Spring Break: Day 2

We made it through Day 2 of Spring Break!
We had a fun adventure to the Kids Works Children's Museum in Frankfort with our friend Kylie!

Mckenna's favorite thing about this place is the pin cushion wall.
Remember those hand held ones you could buy in Spencers?!

Yes, she also likes the baby area. Seriously?

Norah had fun in the baby area, though!

We also love the craft section of this museum!

They had a new music exhibit too!

Kylie arrived! Dress up time!

She was very happy to get some attention for looking so pretty!

Norah loved this sensory table! LOVED! It was loud!

These sweet girls got up on stage and sang "Let It Go"!

They also sang "Do You Want to Build A Snowman" after a costume change!!

More sweet girl!

We had a fun morning playing at the museum.
Love when they are so sweet together!

Lunch and Naptime!
Roofie her dog! She named him herself!

Norah napping means more crafts for Mckenna.
Snow White's wishing mirror craft was on the agenda!

Making freezer meals too!
Links for recipes coming in another post!

Dress-up time! Yes, Norah chose a duck towel for her dress up!

We met Daddy for dinner at Red Robin while my van got an oil change. YUM!

Our day was lots of fun! Can't wait to continue the fun!

Chicago Children's Museum

Last week we headed downtown to the Chicago Children's Museum on Navy Pier.
We had a fun trip exploring their new exhibits, as well as visiting some of the old ones!

The big new exhibit is the "cardboard" exhibit.
A room of cardboard! Boxes for playing in... projects to create. Lots of fun!

"You mean we can color on anything, Mom?!?"

Norah could climb and crawl and play, too!

Braving the fire pole!

Water Room!

We love exploring the different children's museums in our area!
We are very lucky to have 4 within easy driving distance!

Museum with BGLC Friends

On Thursday we went to the Frankfort Children's Museum with our friends from Mckenna's pre-school class at Butterfly Garden.

We have had 3 of her little friends over for play dates and Mckenna keeps asking to have the rest of them over. As a compromise, I invite the class for a play date at the museum. There are 10 kids, including Mckenna, in her class. 6 kids were supposed to meet us there... 2 got sick and couldn't come. So, we played with 4 school friends at the museum.

One of Mckenna's favorite things at the museum is the flower/garden area.
This girl LOVES flowers!

Playing with Ethan, Miranda and Ariana in the boat/fishing area.
Caiden left before we got his picture!

Norah came to play with us at the museum too! I let her play for a few minutes in the baby area before dousing her in sanitizing wipes!

Mckenna loves her sister!

Mckenna and the girls enjoyed playing in the baby area with Norah!

School Friends: Miranda, Mckenna and Ariana

We had such a fun time with our school friends!
I am excited for Mckenna to develop these little relationships!

Kohl Children's Museum

Yesterday we headed up to the Kohl Children's Museum to meet up with our buddy Nick and his Mommy Laura! We had a great time catching up together!!

The kiddos haven't seen each other in awhile, but they did great picking up where they had left off!
Rocking out together!

Mckenna loves to drum!

Adjustable music notes to create your own tune!

Building together!!

The Mommy's weren't too good at helping them here! Daddy's would have been better!

Norah was such a good girl and just chilled in the stroller for most of the day! Her little feet can now reach the bar, so she likes to prop them up!

Nick is serious about digging!

Only my child turns a quiet reading corner into a leap frog zone!

Water table fun!!

There is a cute shopping and dining area just down the street from the museum, so after our play time we headed over to Noodles and Company for lunch, followed by some shopping at Carter's!
Mckenna and Nick were great in the store and even played their own little game of hide and seek!

We love our times with Nick!
