Vacation - Post 2

Yep, we just may crank out all the vacation posts in one sitting! We will see!

My girls are CRAZY about play time on beds. CRAZY!
One of Norah's first words was BED! They got a little crazy one of the first evenings of vacation... playing on Bill & Michelle's bed!

This is how you can typically find them... and then Mckenna starts crying.
Yes, Mckenna!

All is well and good.... until Norah goes and bites!

Baby Jaws!

Daddy loving!

"Fishing" on the pier with Uncle Bill.

Good Morning Good Morning!
Norah and I were the first ones up each morning.
Norah slept really good while on vacation... and most days she slept until 7-7:30.
When she got up we would chill in the upstairs living area with some coffee, milk and a bagel for her to gnaw on.

Beautiful view from the deck

Bagel time on the deck

View to the other side.

Love my sweet girl!

Monday brought the BIG DAY!
Fishing day!!
Mckenna got to go fishing off the same piers that Uncle Bill and Daddy did as kids!

Casting out...

Within a few seconds... we saw some splashes!

WOW! First catch!!!

Going back for more!!
Mckenna loved catching the fish... and she caught TONS!
Now the part about looking at them and touching them, different story!

Michelle's first catch!

Mommy baited the hook....

We caught one!

Norah getting in on the action!

Grandma helped with fishing too!

After a busy day fishing and then swimming at the outdoor pool... my girls were BEAT!
Evening nap time!

This chicky was then ready to party with our first fire!!!

Vacation Days 1 & 2

I edited and uploaded these pictures at the beginning of the week.
It is now Sunday night and I am finally getting back to them.
Summer and computer time just don't work for me.

Let's start the vacation recap....
We ventured up to Canadian Lakes, Michigan on Saturday the 15th. We had rented a house for a week with Grandma, Uncle Bill and Auntie Michelle. The house was right on the water of the "Main Canadian Lake". There are multiple lakes... some are connected by little pathways/channels.

Here is our cute little cottage. It was 3 bedroom, 2 baths with a upper and lower family rooms.
On the main/upper level was the Master bedroom, bath and kitchen/living/dining room area. This area walked out on to the upper deck.
The lower level had 2 bedrooms and a bath with a lower level family room.
This walked out to the lake/patio.
It was perfect for us!

Back area... upper deck, lower level patio (under deck). We had a little grassy area then the lake. I am standing in the little sandy beach we had to play in and walk into the water.

Mckenna wanted to fish while on vacation. Grandma bought her a princess fishing pole, so she spent the first two days practicing casting and reeling off the deck (no hook).

Norah enjoyed being able to walk out onto the deck herself.

We got settled on Saturday late afternoon and enjoyed lounging around.
On Sunday morning the girls and I took the block long walk down to the bigger public beach.

Not so sure about this unsteady ground.

This girl LOVED the beach and the water... and the water was chilly!

Sand toys... definitely more Norah's style

Norah warmed up to the sand experience very well. She was loving it by the afternoon!

Taking a little paddle boat cruise with Daddy and Uncle Bill

Swim time with Grandma... now we are talking!

This was our little 0 depth beach at the cottage.

More boat fun with Daddy

A better view of our shoreline... you can see our pier/dock with the blue paddle boat.

Chillin' with Auntie

More practicing...

Beautiful sunset to close out our first full day at the lake.

And that little dot ruining my sunset picture... Bill and Jim in the paddle boat!!
