On Friday we had Mckenna's rehearsal for her recital.
She did a great job at the rehearsal and did the dances with her little friends.
She was too funny while we are waiting... she kept telling me, "Sit down Mommy, the show is going to start." I kept replying, "Mckenna, you are the show!"
Cute story... during the second dance one of the little girls from her class stood up there crying the whole time... during the middle of the dance Mckenna walked over and hugged her and then went back and continued her dance! Such a sweetie!!
Here we are getting ready to play beauty shop and get ready!!
Armed with a sucker, book and Beauty and the Beast on TV
A snack break, baby feeding break and 45 minutes later, we were done!
I really loved how it turned out!
Make-Up, too!
My pretty little ballerina all ready to go!
She was all excited and ready to go...
Which meant she wouldn't stand still for a picture to be taken!!
Daddy finally got a hold of her and she gave the sweetest smile ever!
Playing hide and seek from Nana's camera
Shake it!
Pick Pocketing Daddy... ?
After spending some time hanging out in the foyer, we headed back to the dressing room to meet up with her classmates and get ready to go!
Which is when she then melted down :(
Her dress was too small and it was pulling on her neck pretty good. I felt so bad for her!
Yep, no dance shoes. Laying down in the hallway. Refusing to go in the room.
I was ready to meltdown too!
Thank goodness for her love of other kids/friends and her current love of Dora.
Dora books to the rescue!
Doesn't she look like a charmer with pulling the Dora book away from little Makenna?!
This is when I got to leave the room and go take my seat in the theater... freaking out that she would start crying! The parents had to leave kids in the dressing room until they were done performing... I was totally convinced that she would have a meltdown and refuse to go dance for the poor lady watching her!
Alas, she didn't. She did great....
TO BE CONTINUED!
