Our Week

I live for my iPhone. There. I said it.
I should clarify.... I live for the camera on my phone! I just love nabbing pics of the quick and quirky things that my kids (Norah) are doing. While they are frustrating and exhausting in the moment.... I love looking back and being able to laugh. And laugh!

My Sweet Girls on Thursday morning!

Yep, we have discovered a pacifier. At 20 months old.

And we have been sleeping with it the last three days. Crazy kid!

Ready to go for the day!

Norah has been picking up on everything we do around the house.
As evidenced on Wednesday night.
Yep, trying to open cans!

Don't you eat applesauce with a toothbrush?

And unravel the WHOLE spool of dental floss?

A moment of calm. Thank you Popsicles and Dora. Whew!

Ah yes, but moments later wheeling around in the doll stroller!

Help. Help. Every time I attempt to do anything in the kitchen, Norah wants to help.
If only it was helping....

Yep! That sure helped!

When you tell Norah Daddy is coming she says, "Hide. Hide. Hide"
She hid from Daddy on Sunday morning.
He can't see her if she can't see him!

Trying to unlock doors with bobby pins... yes, while wearing little underwear!

Oops! Dot painted our face!

Night night babies!

Our Day

Apparently today we had lots of things to take pictures of!

Here is our day via my phone camera...

Pretty little braids... she finally let me do 2 braids again... its been awhile

Brushing all by herself

Score Update:
Mckenna - 2
Mom - 0
Yes, she picked out her Cinderella socks to wear with her pink flowered sandals

Tonight at dinner I asked her to make a silly face...

Which lead to a little photo shoot...

Of pouty faces...

She's a good little actress because she was laughing and smiling between each picture and then cracking up when she saw the pictures!!

Part of her new "cleaning" regimen that she enjoys... "washing" dishes

Today was a hot day (85) so we enjoyed the summer evening with a little ice cream date...
My little ballerina apparently wants to also be a figure skater...

Look at this mom!

She also enjoys blizzards (blasts) with Mommy! YUM!

Sharing!

Getting silly!

We had a fun little day together!!!

These hands are made for walking...

Two weeks ago Jim and I ran a 5k in support of Hope Children's Hospital and the Ronald McDonald House in Oak Lawn. Mckenna was along for the run, as well!

On the way home she was acting very silly in her car seat. She managed to take both of her shoes off and put them on her hands! Very silly little girl!

Download

While it has been a week since I have blogged, I don't have much to say. We are counting down the number of days until summer vacation... 4 for me and 2 for Jim. It can't come soon enough!!

Tonight I downloaded pictures from my camera, hoping the download would drive a new post. It didn't really help :) I got a new phone a couple of weeks ago and have been using that to take some pics. I need to figure out how to get them off my phone.

2 weeks ago we had Deanna and Tony over for dinner. The Bulls were still in the playoffs and Mckenna decided to cheer them on that evening!!

We had a little Bulls dress that was a hand me down... it has been hanging in the closet for awhile. It didn't have a size in it and I just assumed it was too big for her. Nope! It was too short and she needed little shorts under it.

Yea, not watching the game :) Watching "guy" aka. Lion King

Last weekend Mckenna got an Ariel beach towel. It was folded over the back of our couch. We were sitting at the table eating some chips and salsa and she kept asking for chips. A normal request of hers. I went to walk past the towel and saw this....

Apparently Ariel was hungry and likes chips and salsa :)

Our Weekend

On Friday night Mckenna found Daddy's shoes by the door and brought them to him. She is always finding our things and bringing them to us.... shoes, phones, our drinks!!

Daddy told Mckenna to put his shoes on her feet....

She tried hard...

The tried to put them back on Daddy's feet...

She needed some help from Daddy....

Sooo proud!

Sooo silly!

Trying to walk!

She didn't get far....

On Saturday morning we had our Parent Tot Tumbling Class. We started last week!
Here we are ready to head out the door!

Really eager to leave!

We are taking the class at the park district. The tumbling room is back by the indoor tennis courts... Mckenna loves to stand and watch the tennis players!

This picture cracks me up... she was moving so fast when I took this... hence the blurred background!

Watching more tennis after tumbling.

I haven't attempted to take any pictures during tumbling and doubt I will be able to. The program is set up to be parent directed with most of the activities. They have a lot of free play and then we come together for a few songs/dance and to learn a new skill or two. Mckenna loves all the free play and climbing on the different mats and wedges. She doesn't like the bar activites just yet and is a bit apprehensive rings. She likes to straddle the balance beam and not walk on it just yet!!
Most of the kids in the class are repeaters and are older, so I am sure she will come along! She is loving the different classes we have taken and meeting new kids.
