Hump Day

We are having a rough week around our house, so I am really trying to see the positive in every little moment. It's a struggle, I am not going to lie! The honeymoon phase of this new back to work routine has worn off and my girls (ahem, Mckenna) are struggling a bit.

Wear it

So this week over on the Dog Days of Winter link up they are featuring a "Wear It" link up. I was TOTALLY going to pass on this weeks post, but in stepping out of my comfort zone, I decided to just go for it! Eek. By NO means do I consider myself fashionable or do I usually even care what I am wearing!

Last Sunday I pulled this outfit together for church. I was pretty impressed with it, as the dress is a summer dress and I mixed things around to layer it up. 

I had pinned the following couple of outfits over the last few weeks and feel I sort of got a mix of them with this outfit.

One of her favorite things to do at ballet is dress up... this is "her" dress. She calls it her Ariel dress and will only dress up in this dress.

Last weekend we put up the baby gear for baby sisters upcoming arrival... 

Mckenna helped me clean it all so it was ready to go!

She also helped give the swing a few test rides with her babies

For Easter Uncle Bill and Auntie Michelle gave Mckenna a "little computer" 

She loves it and does pretty well navigating all of the activities herself

We had a Pinkalicious birthday party for Maggie Sue two weeks ago...

Last week we had Mckenna's physical appointment for her pre-school physical... enjoying some time on the computer while she waits for the Dr.

On Saturday the Collins Crew headed over for a night of hanging out together. 

Mckenna was asking all day when her friends were coming over... she LOVES Alex and Emma!

Although it was a bit chilly, we tried to have a fire and play outside for a little while

While Alex and Emma got on their jammies, Mckenna set up a little movie theater for them all.

 I thought it was so cute... she had a seat for each of them!

The last week or so Mckenna has not wanted to get dressed in the morning... it can be a good ol' battle! Well, yesterday I had two outfits for her to pick from... then she spotted her Belle shirt in a basket of clean laundry. Of course the bottoms of the other two outfits didn't match, so we headed upstairs to find some other shorts. Then she needed her Belle socks to "match" her shirt.... and then found her favorite red shoes... oh goodness!

Laying on the couch "reading" her Lightening McQueen book while I put laundry away. She loves her books that have the "remotes" because she can read them all by herself!

 

Yes, we've been busy!! 

Sunday Funday

Welcome to Sunday Funday! Mckenna has a bit of a cold/allergy flare up going on today, so we are spending the day at home. She is in a good mood, which is helpful!!

This little girl LOVES to play on our bed! She comes in our room and just says, "Up" which means "put me on the bed NOW... please"!

I had my camera upstairs taking pictures of our room progress and she shouted, "cheese" from on the bed!

Have I mentioned that Mckenna breaks out into the chicken dance anytime she is wearing only a diaper?!

She really does! She walks around flapping those wings!

She will do the rest of the dance, too, if we prompt her along!!

Ah, yes and then its time to get dressed.... MEEEEE! She can do it herself!

We had such nice weather this week that Mckenna was finally able to sport some of her new outfits! She got this adorable jumper from Uncle Bill & Michelle for Easter!
