We resumed hosting Thanksgiving this year... this was our 6th year doing it! We love having both families over together for this holiday and finally really had the room for everyone to be comfortable together!!

Mckenna and I started the day with straightening up the house... she was a big help!

Prepping and Cooking

Prepping the turkey... turkey #1

I have been using Nesco Roasters to cook my turkey's over the last few years! I love them!! Leaves the oven free and the turkey cooks really fast! My turkey was done in just over 2 hours!!

When cooking in the Nesco, the turkey usually doesn't brown very well because it is a steam roaster, not a baker.... but this guy turned out to be perfect!

Turkey #2 turned out more like the light cooked bird I am used to out of the Nesco

We haven't used this room for dining yet... mostly because we don't have a dining room set! Have no fear... folding tables and chairs do the trick! Dinner for 19!
