I can't believe that my sweet little baby (okay, crazy little monster) is WALKING!
Yep, shes got about 8-10 steps down before she either falls or gets tired and stops! She has taken off of the furniture on her own several times, so we are really going to be in for it over the next week.
Can't believe that in 10 days she will be 1! Yikes!

On Friday night Jim and I headed to Maywood Park with Brianne and Ben for an Autism Speaks Fundraiser. We had never been to the horse races before and it was so much fun!!
On Saturday Jim and Mckenna headed off for a Daddy Daughter day. They went to watch Uncle Bill's baseball team, on a lunch date and then running some errands.
Meanwhile, I had trouble with me for the day!
Yep, she now thinks she can WALK thru WALMART!

If I picked her up or tried to hold her she SCREAMED...
needless to say, we weren't at Wal-Mart long.
When Jim and Mckenna returned we got some things done around the house and then headed out to dinner. It was a fun family night!
Today was our fun family Girls Day! We have been going for pedicures the first Sunday in May for the last.... 6 years? 7? I don't really know.

This sweet girl learns a new trick every time I blink!
She is getting so big I can hardly believe it!
Norah LOVES straw cups. Like beyond excited, laughing, smiling, clapping when she sees me pull one out for her! She's getting pretty good at drinking from it, though she still sometimes spits out what she's drinking. Oh and did I mention that she learned to blow bubbles in her cup! Silly girl!
Upon first glance one might think that we were trick or treating... or on an Easter Egg hung. Nope! We were on a nature hike back on this September afternoon...
And these pictures were lost on my Iphone until now!
Sometimes its a fun treat to come upon some pictures you missed and forgot about!
I had asked Mckenna if she wanted to go on a nature hike. The girl loves a good nature hike!
She wanted to wear her Cinderella dress. I figured it wasn't worth the fight to say no.

As she ran through someones backyard to collect some (oops) she looked more like she was on an Easter egg hunt!
We had to stop (and undress) in order to have a snack... yep, right there on the sidewalk about a block from home!
Yes, Mckenna is just about a complete walker! She is walking all over the place and has gotten pretty steady over the last week. She struggles a bit still on our hardwood floors; she does much better upstairs on the carpet..... she pulls herself up on any furniture and then takes off... just not quite pulling herself into a standing position from sitting, yet. Yet!

Daddy started practicing a bad habit!!
She is such a busy little thing! She would NOT keep a bow in her for anything today. I had her hair pinned back to the side and she just wasn't having it!
Yes, we survived week 1 of the dreaded "back to work"....
Mckenna had a great week with transitioning back to Auntie Sharon's! You would have never thought she had left. She jumped right back into playing with her friends Gabby & Brayden, though she is secretly trying to move in on playing with 3 year old Cailey! She wants to be a big girl so bad!!I was really happy with her doing so well being back at Sharon's. She transitioned without issue, napped good, and ate constantly!
After spending a week at Sharon's she is at like 75% walking... crazy! Tonight she walked from our eat-in kitchen table across the entire family room to the ottoman. She also walked down the entire driveway at my friend Heather's house!! By the end of next week she may be running across the back yard!
Our commute has been okay each day... about 20 minutes to Sharon's and then another 20-25 minutes for me to get to work. I think I finally have my route down, though we took a different one most days this week. I learned quickly on Monday that Mckenna needs a sippy cup and some snacks for the ride home... even though she eats an afternoon snack at Sharon's she seems to be starving for the ride home. Now I pack her some snacks and a sippy cup in with my lunch!
I have actually been taking videos of her this week and not pictures because of all of the walking. I will have to get some pictures of it too, even though it really won't show much. Perhaps at some point during the craziness of life I will figure out how to post a video on here.... maybe someday!
