Catching up

Yes, it has been awhile once again.... hopefully I will get back in the swing once school is over. We have 2 more days. Thank goodness!

Back on May 23rd we accepted an offer on our house!! Yeah!! After a long process of trying to sell, we finally did. It was only on the market for about 4 1/2 months this time around, but the memories of the year it was listed before haunt us! The buyer wants to close July 1st, so we have been BUSY packing and trying to get things in line because we don't have a house to buy yet....

Or so we thought! Last weekend we found a house that just so happens to be a foreclosure. We thought we were in for a LONG grueling process of dealing with the bank... however much to our surprise after officially submitting an offer in on Friday morning, the bank responded with a counter on Friday afternoon! Upon confirmation of a couple of odds and ends details, we will be accepting their counter!! Holy Moly! What have we gotten into!! Hopefully the process goes smooth. Next up would be the inspection. We know that there are a couple of serious things that we need to have looked at, so hopefully nothing else will spring up in the mean time. We could, and I emphasize, could, be on our way to having a house sooner than expected.

On to the star of the show.... she has been a busy little girl lately. She is pulling up on EVERYTHING and going after Sox and Milo with full force! She is standing in her crib, the pack and play and wants to be down on the floor 24/7. Here are some recent pictures to capture the latest and greatest....

Long week

I swear these weeks just keeping getting longer. 16 official wake-ups until work is over. It can't come soon enough!

Mckenna has struggled all week long with sleep. She isn't feeling well. She is cutting teeth. She is a HOT MESS! I feel so bad for her, however I am so tired from tending to her every 2 hours! Exhaustion!!

Tonight she was working more on pulling up. She has spent the last couple of days pulling up at Auntie Sharon's and getting into all of her toy boxes!!

Pulling Up

Yesterday, Jim stayed home with Mckenna. She was definately on the mend yesterday morning when she woke up, but she needed just one more day to be sure.

On my way home from work I got a text from Jim that said, "She just pulled up on her own without help." The first thought that went through my mind was "Yeah!!" quickly followed by, "Oh no!". Time to really get to the store for more baby proofing supplies!!

Thursday Sickies

As if a busy week couldn't get any busier... Mckenna's runny nose and low grade fever morphed into a pretty good cough by Thursday morning. I was automatically fearful of another ear infection, so off we went after work to the doctor.

Mckenna weighed in at 16lbs. 9oz. at her appointment. We will see if she maintains this weight gain now that she is crawling, however this is the most she has gained in 1 month since the gain from birth to 1 month. We will see!!

Anyways, her ear was pretty red, but not yet infected... however they did give us a little dose of Zithromiacin to hopefully prevent it from getting worse. Despite sleeping icky due to the coughing, she does seem to be on the mend a bit.

When we got home we got to do more crawling!!





Our medicine must have had some craziness mixed in with it because Thursday night Mckenna had NO interest in going to bed AT ALL! She NEVER does this!! She was crazy!! As if starting to crawl this week wasn't enough, she decided that she wanted to try to start pulling herself up on the ottoman! Too bad she was in a sleep sack and kept slipping!!

Saturday

Our weekend has been pretty low key. It is about time! Every weekend we seem to have something going on. It was nice to just be home, not entertain and hang out together.

Mckenna got to spend some much needed time with Daddy and Mommy got a bit of a break, which was also much needed! Apparently when we spend time with Daddy we get to do naughty things like walk down the stairs!!

And wear NO bows!!


Yes, Jim can chase her up and down the stairs when she learns to do them herself!!

On Saturday night we went out to dinner. It had been awhile since we got some dinner together. Here Mckenna is gearing up for dinner!

Our new favorite toys of the week are plastic bowls and the caps to our bottles!! They are even more fun to play with at the same time so we can bang them together!!
