Last Saturday we headed over to Garden Patch Farms in Homer Glen for their Butterfly Festival.
I wasn't sure what the whole festival included, but we decided to check it out.
It was a cute event. They are an operating farm and grow TONS of different fruits and vegetables.
They had chickens, goats and a little baby pig all out, along with a tractor/hay ride, bounce house, face painting and the release of butterflies.
Norah staring at all the chickens in the chicken coop.
A cute little goat!
Feeding the chickens
We went inside and bought some fruits and veggies... my girls decided they needed to eat their apples IMMEDIATELY!!!
Face painted with a butterfly
Apparently the farm sold caterpillars back in the early spring for people to hatch into butterflies... then you are supposed to bring your butterfly back for the release party.
Beautiful "butterfly garden" display... flowers that butterflies like.
That little spot is a butterfly.
Mckenna's favorite thing... I let her pick out some flowers.
This kids favorite thing to buy when we are out is either flowers or a milk box.
