Jumping into summer
Well we are back to reality after the most amazing vacation ever!!
We jumped straight into a crazy few days!!
The girls have been begging to sit in the back of the van. Only this means they are VERY close to one another! Way too close!
We had some pool fun...
Mckenna went to a princess dance tea party with her friend Peyton...
Norah and I took a trip to the library...
We ate ice cream before dinner at the farmers market...
And I've needed lots if wine....
Norah got to go to dance class....
And Mckenna to tumbling....
Another trip to the library for the summer reading program....
A tea party....
A dance party....
A play date/puppet show with Peyton and Quinn...
Yep that sums up our first three days of the week!!!

Our Week: Post 2
Our week going backwards... Love crazy picture downloads from my phone!
On Friday afternoon Mckenna got all dressed up and told me she was ready for her pretend wedding!
She also then noticed pictures on our wall from our wedding and began asking questions...
"Mom, was that the day you got to be a princess?" Love this sweet girl!
We hung out at the mall for a bit on Friday morning... carousel time!
This little chair got brought out from the den to the family room. This little cutie pie LOVES it.
She may have fallen off about 3 times already (since she just wants to stand on it.)
Wednesday swim lessons...
Sister trying to break into Mckenna's ballet class!
Picnic and play date with our friend Miranda
Cutie pie girls!
Miranda and Mckenna are becoming sweet little friends!
We have enjoyed several play dates together!
Tuesday night PJ walk to the park and book mobile
Big girl is DONE with bottles! Milk out of a water bottle! Whatever works!!

Babies, Coffee and Coffee Cake
Today we had a little morning "coffee and babies" get together at our house! My good friends Brianne and Deanna came over with their babies to play, while their Mama's chatted and had some coffee and coffee cake! Win/Win for everyone!
Norah and Quinn are just shy of a month apart!
Baby Ethan (as he has been dubbed by Mckenna) is almost 2 months!
Norah's new face... OOOOHHH!
We haven't seen each other in awhile!
In true little girl fashion... "but I want that too!" And so it begins!
Surrounded by ladies!!
Playing patty cake with Mommy!
Okay this may be the funniest picture I have ever seen! This was NOT this dramatic of a scene! Quick shutter speed at just the right time! Ha!
I promise NO babies were injured at our babies and coffee date!
I was looking for a yummy muffin recipe to make for our little play date and came across this coffee cake recipe on Jessica's blog Southern Belle Baby ! It is more like a giant breakfast muffin! YUM! Super easy and I already had everything at home! My kind of recipe!
PIECE OF CAKE COFFEE CAKE
For the Cake:
1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
2 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 egg
3/4 c sugar
1/3 c melted butter
1/2 c milk
1 tsp vanilla
For the streusel topping:
1/2 c packed brown sugar
2 tbl butter, softened
2 tbl flour
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 c chopped nuts (optional)
Directions:
1)Preheat your oven to 375 degrees, and grease an 8×8 (or 9×9) pan and set that aside.
2) Add all of the ingredients for your streusel topping in a small bowl (except the nuts). Mix together with a fork until the mixture resembles crumbs. Set aside.
3) Sift your flour, baking powder and salt together. Set aside.
4) In a large mixing bowl, whisk your egg until frothy. Stir in your sugar, melted butter, then milk & vanilla.
5) Stir your flour mixture into your wet mixture until everything is combined. There may be a few lumps.
6) Pour half of your batter into your greased pan. Top with half of your streusel topping. Pour remaining batter on top, then top with remaining streusel mix.
7) Bake at 375 for 20-25 minutes until a toothpick comes out cleanly.
